This
page is a tribute to our Marriage!
The
way Cheryl and I met was really pretty incerdible. Cheryl had moved
to the Seattle area in 1996 from Arkansas. I was living in Vancouver
B.C (living the playboys life) oblivious to the knowledge that the girl
of my dreams lived so close.
In
1998 Cheryl met a friend over the internet, her name is Marian. Marian
and I had been friends for years. Some of you may know her from Marians
Stuff.
In
June of 1998 Marian gave me Cheryl's name and e mail. She thought
we would get along great.
So
that is how our relationship started.........over the internet. It
lasted for 4 days, then I had to drive down to Seattle to meet her.
Cheryl
said yes to my propsal for marriage, on August 12, 1998, and on October
17th 1998 we tied the knot, it was a rainy seattle day but a happy one.
We were both nervous as it was the first time for both of us.
We
had both of our families present at the ceremony. As you can see
the ceremony was held at the court house, in Judge Eileen Kato's Court
at 12:00 noon. Judge Kato was very nice to us and performed a beautiful
service. You may remember her, she is the judge that also sentenced
Mary Kay Latirno.
Something
you cant see in the pictures is how nervouse we were. If I had had
to give an acceptance speech of Cheryl from her sister, I would have blundered
and stammered throught it.
My
best man was Timothy B., and the brides maid was Stacey Kazyaka. Tim a
freind of mine from my high school days, has known me for more than 10
years, as a gift to us he brought us our wedding rings, which were made
for us by a Nothwestern Native artist. What just made it even better
was that Judge Kato blessed us with a Northwestern Native Wedding poem.
Tim
was the best best man i could have picked he was my first and only choice,
he had prepared for his position well in advance. Stacey Kazyaka is Cheryl's
older sister.
